SMART Team Building

Colourful letter tiles spelling team building

A shared experience is valuable in itself, but there are situations when a team needs more. When communication, collaboration, dealing with change or the way the team works together becomes difficult, SMART Team Building combines an enjoyable shared experience with targeted development.

We always tailor the programme to the team’s situation. Alongside engaging and experiential activities, we use exercises, simulations and workshop tasks based on real day-to-day situations and specific development goals.

When is SMART Team Building a good fit?

  • When collaboration within the team is not working as well as it could
  • When communication difficulties or conflicts keep recurring
  • When the team is facing change and shared understanding and commitment are important
  • When you want to combine a shared experience with professional development
  • When you are looking for a development programme to address a specific organisational or team-related challenge

Who is it for?

SMART Team Building programmes are designed for teams and leaders who want to work consciously on how they operate together, while also enjoying a shared experience.

  • Leadership teams looking to strengthen collaboration and the way they work together
  • Project teams where roles, communication and shared responsibility need greater clarity
  • Organisational units preparing for change or transformation
  • Newly formed or restructured teams
  • Teams experiencing recurring communication or collaboration difficulties
  • Teams that want to use team building not only as a recreational activity, but also as an opportunity for development

How is it different from traditional team building?

SMART Team Building brings shared experiences and development together within the same programme. It is not a full day of presentations: the programme is interactive, works with situations participants encounter in their own teams and, where appropriate, can also include more traditional team-building activities designed simply to help people relax and recharge.

What topics can the programme focus on?

Developing a project management mindset

The team works through a simulated project while we jointly explore how the team operates, how decisions are made and where there are opportunities for improvement.

Change management

Participants explore attitudes towards change, uncertainty and collaboration, and then develop a concrete action plan.

Vision and strategy

We work with shared values, ways of working, team norms and strategic objectives to strengthen team cohesion and commitment.

Developing collaboration

We model recurring situations from day-to-day work, explore their underlying causes together and develop concrete solutions and actions.

How is the programme designed?

The detailed programme is not fixed in advance. During the planning process, we discuss the situation with the client and, where necessary, with decision-makers and representatives of the participants as well.

Based on these conversations, we design a programme tailored to the team’s situation, objectives and current challenges.

What will your team get from the programme?

  • A shared experience and an opportunity to recharge
  • Targeted development
  • Exercises tailored to the team’s situation
  • Shared insights into how the team works
  • Concrete actions for moving forward

Don’t have a clear idea yet?

That is not a problem. During our first discussion, we will clarify together what your team needs most right now and design the programme accordingly.
