As part of our projects we assist our clients in building a supply chain that keeps customers in mind and provides competitive advantage to the company. In order to effectively manage the supply chain, we support our clients by ensuring that certain organizational, process and human resources requirements are also met.
For a successful improvement of the supply chain we take into consideration the whole supply chain management value chain, that is, from the supplier to the end-consumer.
Based on our experience, most important challenges lying ahead of efficient Supply Chain Management systems can be summarized as follows:
- How can a decrease in the total cost and total process time be achieved during the value creating process?
- How can relationship with commercial partners and customers both on the supplier side and on the buyer side of the supply chain be improved?
- How can delivery performance and thus customer relationship on the buyer side of the supply chain be improved?
- To what extent is the supply chain capable of contributing to the effectiveness, and its improvement, of the company as a whole?
- Can services to customers be improved by increasing the supply chain’s efficiency?
- Finally: can we achieve competitive advantage by a more efficient operation of the supply chain?
Based on our approach, the process of design and improvement of a successful SCM is composed of the following three phases:
- Assessment of the existing SCM system;
- Detailed design of value propositions and improvement opportunities, preparation of business cases;
- Implementation support of the recommended and accepted infrastructural, process and organizational changes, management of shocks resulting from change
