Project Audit and Quality Assurance

In the frame of project audit, we perform an independent review of the ongoing, starting and finished projects from the methodology, people and organizational perspective. We apply the recommendations and requirements of international standards, and build on our own project management methodology (SZIN-tézis) and experience.


Project assurance and audits are performed by Szinergia consultants using mainly two approaches:

Szinergia’s quick diagnosis measures the project’s status, efficiency of applied methods and effectiveness using a complex questionnaire. In the frame of the diagnosis, we uncover the ways in which corrections can be made to potential developments, and deficiencies, and how possible problems and risks can be mitigated. The user, as part of the audit, receives an active support and relevant solutions.

Szinergia’s complex audit and quality assurance has been developed reconciling Hungarian and international standards for quality and project management, and adding its own experience in audit and quality assurance. Conformity to ISO 9000 and ISO 10006 (Quality management systems – Guide to Quality Management of Projects) standards’ requirements and recommendations is achieved by assessment, evaluation and active participation of our consultants. Our detailed audit report includes an as-is analysis, our findings, strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and risks. Gaps and non-conformities, course of actions towards achieving TQM and obtaining national and international quality certifications are supported by data and analyses. For problem solving we follow a process that is based on the following steps: define problem, analyze problem, plan actions, execute, follow-up. Szinergia Ltd. certifies within its scope of authority the results of the audit, in the form of a certificate.

The steps of Szinergia’s complex audit approach are as follows:

  • Specify stakeholders, establish their requirements and expectations
  • Review project documentation and attachments
  • Plan the audit and quality assurance processes
  • Inspection and audit of core processes, management and control processes and support areas
  • Deliver findings, audit reports; presentations and as-is analysis results to top management and stakeholders
  • Hand over project certificate of conformity
  • Compile documentation of recommendations; propose, agree upon and get sign-off from stakeholders on alternatives for execution, project definitions, and action plan.

As part of our project quality assurance service we agree to support projects run by the client, an external party or subcontractor by ensuring the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the project’s methodology (hard) and human dimension (soft) processes. Quality assurance can support the whole project (main and support processes), its structure or its leader, depending on the client’s requirements.
