The objective of this service is to prepare participants for the development of their own organization, enterprise, or region, and perform project management tasks compatible with the EU’s funding process using conscious, systematic planning, up-to-date tools and procedures within the frame of their daily work.

The primary objective of this service is to prepare participants for the development of their own organization, enterprise, or region, and perform project management tasks compatible with the EU’s funding process using conscious, systematic planning, up-to-date tools and procedures within the frame of their daily work. From a content point of view, the preparation comprises stages ranging from initiation, idea generation, through definition, obtaining funding, planning, execution, and monitoring and control processes to project closing. Target audiences of the training are small and medium enterprises, municipalities, management and personnel of institutions responsible for regional development, and representatives of other professional and non-professional associations, organizations.

The most significant areas and training and consulting focus of the preparation process:

  • Interpretation of the National Development Plan and Operational Programs, relevance to regions, and smaller areas
  • Regional and small area strategies, definition of objectives
  • Introduction to the results of the EU application process programming
  • Project generation, definition of project ideas, suggestions
  • Definition of project objective and content, elaboration of indicators, key success factors
  • Preparation of feasibility study (sensitivity study, risk assessment)
  • Sustainability planning (business, professional, organizational)
  • Detailed budget, financial planning (income, cost, their impact in time based on accounting and cash-flow approach)
  • Planning of a monitoring system taking into account requirements of participating EU organizations
