On March 28, 2006, the first event of the Szinergia Change Club has been carried out in a real club feeling, in the form of a thought provoking and colorful, professional discussion. Its main topic was the typical characteristics of change management from the "champion's" point of view.
The success of change is not equal to the success of the leader of the change but there is a strong correlation. The most important questions that influence the change champion's success are:
- Is the goal of change, the value to be created clear?
- Does the sponsor provide the necessary trust and empowerment?
- Does the champion see what competencies he needs and does he have them? How can he get the missing competencies?
- How well is the organization prepared for change and how is the specific team working on the change effort like?
We have discussed the above questions with participants who have taken / are taking part themselves in change processes, using our experience, international knowledge, and own case studies.
